Our Materials

9K SOLID GOLD
9k gold is a durable and affordable solid gold choice, consisting of 37.5% pure gold and a mix of other metals for added strength. Its lighter hue compared to 14k and 18k gold and is designed to withstand daily wear, 9k gold offers an affordable way to enjoy the beauty of gold without exceeding your budget.

GOLD VERMEIL
Gold Vermeil (pronounced 'ver-may') offers a superior alternative to standard gold plating. This premium technique uses a 925 sterling silver base coated with a thick 2-3 micron layer of 18k gold. This process results in a luxurious and durable finish, designed to withstand everyday wear.

GOLD PLATED
Our 18k gold-plated pieces typically use a brass metal base with a gold layer of at least 2 microns thick and e-coating, exceeding industry standards. Brass is a lighter weight option, which is better used for more statement pieces i.e. hoop earrings.

E-COATING
E-coating, aka electro deposition or electro-coating, uses an electrical current to cover a metal surface with an organic lacquer. The technique effectively covers every part of the jewellery piece so that it’s left with an even and consistent coat making our jewellery even longer-lasting and more durable for everyday wear.

STERLING SILVER
Sterling silver is made up of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% alloy such as Zinc. The reason we use sterling silver over pure silver for our jewellery is because pure silver is too soft. Sterling silver is significantly stronger and more durable making it perfect for jewellery. All of our sterling silver pieces are stamped with 925 and are Nickel and Copper free.

RHODIUM PLATING

Rhodium itself is a precious metal from the platinum family. Rhodium plating is commonly used on white gold, and is used over the top of jewellery to create a bright reflective appearance. As part of the platinum family, rhodium plating our silver means your jewellery is more durable, more resistant to scratching, and more lustrous. It is also hypoallergenic and creates a bright metal surface that resists tarnishing.
